At one time Polaroids were actually a reasonable price for a pack of 10 shots. I used to buy packs in bulk and was fascinated by the soft quality of the images it produced.

For a while I took it everywhere with me, both in the UK and to many other countries as well. See if you can guess where some of the shots were taken :-).
